Cecily’s story: Adorable Cecily was rescued from a local shelter, where she landed after being hit by a car. She is healing nicely after her pelvis was fractured and spent a few weeks on crate rest. As a result, she does well sleeping in a crate at night and will use a potty pad if no one is around to let her outside. Cecily seems to attach to one person in the home, so would do best in an adults-only home where she would not be left alone a lot. She gets along with other dogs, but doesn’t play with them, but that might be because of her injury. She’d do best with someone who is home most of the day and won’t mind her following them around. She will leave them alone if told to do so. Ideally, her home will have a yard, no kids under 12, and a family that is OK with her really loving just one person.

Adoption fee: $250, includes current vaccinations, microchip and complete dental cleaning.

30 Priceless Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) to Chuckle About

It can come when we least expect it, when we are happily playing our favorite game and diligently working on the report due tomorrow. Then, all of a sudden, when we are just right about to save our progress, the blue demon appears, stares at you straight in the face and tells you that some sort of fatal, non-recoverable error has occur. You can cry, curse or swear, but nothing will change the fact that your hard work has all gone to the drain. Nobody will mistake that mocking blue screen for anything but a big FAIL. Mountain High to open Saturday, Nov. 14, for pass holders, followed by Snow Valley Monday

After a short delay this week following four employees who tested positive for coronavirus , Mountain High announced it will open on Saturday, Nov. 14, for season pass holders. The Wrightwood resort will sell tickets to the general public on Sunday, Nov. 15, according to the website. Tickets must be purchased 24 hours in advance. Amenities will be limited on opening weekend, including no lessons or rentals and limited food and beverage, though people can bring their own snacks onto the mountain. “It’s going to be a beautiful weekend so come enjoy your lunch on the sun deck. Indoor access will be limited,” the announcement said. “Guests should be prepared to enjoy an outdoor experience this winter, no matter the conditions.
