Coronavirus state tracker: Where every California county is in the state tier system

According to the California Department of Public Health several counties could be lowered by a tier on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Once a county is lowered, or raised, a tier it must remain there for at least three weeks.

A county must also meet criteria for the next tier in daily coronavirus positive cases per 100,000 and testing positivity – meaning the rate at which tests are coming back positive – for two consecutive weeks in order to progress down a level.
