Jingle Ball goes virtual as Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Doja Cat top iHeartRadio event

With the holiday season rapidly approaching, Los Angeles radio stations have had to get creative with how to present their large-scale, multi-artist holiday-themed festivals.

iHeartRadio and KIIS 102.7 FM announced it would continue its Jingle Ball tradition with a virtual celebration that will include performances by Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith and Shawn Mendes.

According to a release issued by iHeartRadio, artists will be performing from their homes or sound stages and deliver a mix of their hits as well as covers of popular holiday songs as they share their favorite seasonal traditions.

Fans can watch the 2020 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 on The CW or via CWTV.com. They can also listen in on the performances through the iHeartRadio app. The CW will also broadcast the event as an exclusive TV special at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14.

On top of the fresh performances, iHeartRadio will take a look back at some of the greatest moments from the fest’s 25-year history. “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Greatest moments” will debut at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 on The CW.

As another bonus, concert sponsor Capital One is hosting the Capital One Holiday Jam contest where 25 Capital One cardholders will be chosen to be featured in a virtual holiday classic sing-along with a Jingle Ball headliner. The winners will also hear from the artist in a private virtual meet and mingle discussion. The contest begins at midnight on Nov. 5 and runs through 11:59 p.m. Nov. 16 at iheartradio.com/CapitalOne.

Mountain High to open Saturday, Nov. 14, for pass holders, followed by Snow Valley Monday

After a short delay this week following four employees who tested positive for coronavirus , Mountain High announced it will open on Saturday, Nov. 14, for season pass holders. The Wrightwood resort will sell tickets to the general public on Sunday, Nov. 15, according to the website. Tickets must be purchased 24 hours in advance. Amenities will be limited on opening weekend, including no lessons or rentals and limited food and beverage, though people can bring their own snacks onto the mountain. “It’s going to be a beautiful weekend so come enjoy your lunch on the sun deck.
